Coventry Group Proudly Introduces Nord-Lock Bolt Securing Washers

With the invention of bolts came the problem of how to prevent them from self-loosening.  In a move to eradicate this loosening - most often a result of the vibration generated by the source to which the bolt is attached - the Coventry Group is proud to introduce Nord-Lock, a unique bolt-securing system that has been proven through rigorous testing to be the most effective way of securing nuts and bolts.

Nord-Lock resists loosening caused by vibration and dynamic loads, and provides positive locking at low and high pre-load levels.  Laboratory tests have shown that Nord-Lock securing washers are more effective in preventing self-loosening than nyloc nuts, cone lock nuts, locking wires and adhesives.

The unique Nord-Lock system uses tension rather than the friction that often is used by other self-locking devices.  On one side the Nord-Lock washers have cams with a rise greater than the pitch of the bolt, while on the other radial teeth are used to grip the securing nut and the surface to which it is fastened.
