Modern Slavery

our commitment

In accordance with the Modern Slavery Act 2018 (Cth), we publish an annual Modern Slavery Statement which sets out actions taken by the Group throughout the year to address modern slavery and human trafficking risks in our business and supply chain.

We submit our statement to the Australian Border Force annually, and it is submitted for the previous calendar year. Our 2023 statement has recently been submitted and we are awaiting its approval.  You can read our 2023 statement here.

As part of our risk mitigation in ensuring our supply chain is free from modern slavery, we conduct audits on our suppliers and during 2023, we conducted ethical sourcing audits of our top 25 local suppliers from each of our business units and visited all of our large USA and China based suppliers, plus numerous potential suppliers to perform site checks and risk assessments.

From a due diligence perspective, we also send out Modern Slavery Fast Facts sheets to our Australian and New Zealand based suppliers to assist them in understanding Modern Slavery and to share guidance on how to eradicate any form of Modern Slavery from their supply chains.

We send these in the hope that our suppliers find it helpful and informative and have received positive feedback thanking us for increasing their awareness of Modern Slavery.
